Job Responsibilities:

• Perform direct patient care in a positive and professional manner under the supervision of orthopedic surgeons.
• Working as the first assist in surgery. Providing preoperative and postoperative education to patient and family members.
• Take and review medical histories to assess the patients’ needs.
• Examine and treat orthopedic patients.
• Order and interpret tests as needed to diagnose further treatment.
• Treat injuries; assist in the emergency room as needed for ortho related cases.
• Educate and counsel patients and family as to current situation, developing and implementing a treatment plan.
• Participate in the call schedule.
  

Job Qualifications:

• Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified
• A valid PA Medical License or ability to obtain one is required
• Graduate from accredited educational program for Physician Assistant
