We are seeking an Orthopedic Trauma Physician Assistant for an inpatient locum assignment in New Jersey providing coverage from March through August 2027. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule with no call or holiday coverage.
Assignment Details
- Start Date: March 15, 2027
- End Date: August 31, 2027
- Inpatient Orthopedic Trauma
- Physician Assistant position
Schedule
- Monday–Friday
- 6:30 AM–2:30 PM
- No call
- No holidays
- Overtime after 40 hours/week
Clinical Responsibilities
- Round on preoperative and postoperative inpatients
- Assist with Orthopedic Trauma consults
- Daily inpatient rounds
- Floor management
- Coordinate and assist with patient discharges
- Exposure to splinting
- Intermittently assist other PAs with splinting
Support Staff
- Work alongside another APP each day
- Collaborative Orthopedic Trauma environment
Requirements
- Physician Assistant
- Up-to-date DEA required
- Up-to-date CDS required
- Active NJ license
Ideal Candidate
A Physician Assistant comfortable with inpatient Orthopedic Trauma, including pre- and postoperative rounding, consults, floor management, discharges, and assisting with splinting.
