A practice located near Newark needs an Ortho-PA.

This practice is not affiliated with private equity.

This is a permanent positions – not locums.

Orthopedic Physician Assistant
Great work-life balance position
3-4 days in the clinic and 1-2 days in the OR
Monday through Friday
No weekends
No Call
150k to 175k+ DOE base salary and production
Medical, dental, vision, PTO, CME, holidays, retirement option with matching

Minimum 1 yr exp. in Ortho as a PA required.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical exams.
Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests such as X-rays, MRIs, and blood tests.
Assist in orthopaedic surgeries, including pre-operative planning and post-operative care.
Administer injections, including corticosteroids and joint aspirations.
Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and recommending physical therapy.
Perform wound care and cast application/removal.
Provide patient education on injury prevention, treatment plans, and post-surgical care.
Collaborate with orthopaedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
Document patient information, treatment plans, and progress in electronic medical records.
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies or related field.
Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
A minimum of one year of previous experience in orthopaedics as a Physician Assistant.

Working Hours

Monday through Friday
NO weekends
NO Call responsibilities
