Exciting opportunity for a Physician Assistant in Orthopedic Surgery to join a collaborative, growing surgical team in Coos Bay, Oregon. This role offers hands-on experience in surgical assistance, inpatient care, and emergency consults.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive history and physical exams
• Develop and implement treatment plans for orthopedic conditions
• Assist in surgeries, including first assist and tissue closures
• Conduct ED consults, inpatient rounding, and post-op follow-up
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (e.g., joint injections, fracture reductions)
• Order, review, and interpret labs and imaging
• Prescribe medications and orthopedic devices as appropriate
• Participate in shared on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays
• Document patient care accurately in EMR (Epic)
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Board Certified Physician Assistant – Required
• Oregon License (or eligible) – Required
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient Orthopedic experience preferred
• Clean malpractice history and active NPDB Self-Query
• Strong surgical and clinical judgment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure

• Full-Time Day Shifts
• Shared On-Call Rotation (Weekdays, Weekends, Holidays)
