Specialty Group of Orthopedic Surgeons seek to add a full-time Orthopedic Physician Assistant to directly work with a Sports Fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeon. The position includes both the OR and the clinic. This is a very busy sports practice that has a strong focus on shoulders and knees and sees a high volume of College and High School Athletes. Responsibilities include: first assist, running clinics, pre- and post-operative H&P’s, joint injections, writing scripts, removing casts and pins, consultation and patient evaluation and education, reviewing lab results in both a clinic and hospital setting. If desired the Physician Assistant can provide sporting event coverage at Colleges (D1) and High School events and will be compensated separately.

They are located in a state-of-the-art facility that has EMR, Digital X-Ray and onsite PT/OT. The position is a four-and-a-half-day work week, which provides a great work/life balance and no ER or trauma call.

Successful Physician Assistants should be NCCPA-Certified, and have some orthopedic experience but will train a new graduate with an orthopedic rotation and any of the following background; ATC, Kinesiology, Sports Medicine etc.

The location is in the beautiful coastal city of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The area offers strong schools, moderate cost of living, great weather and is especially desirable for the ocean lover!
