Step into a dynamic orthopedic surgical team serving a large regional population in Northern Iowa. This high-need locum role offers a mix of clinical, surgical, and trauma duties with the support of seasoned physicians, advanced practice providers, and a dedicated ancillary team. New grads with strong surgical rotations are welcome to apply!
🛠 Procedures Common in This Role

Total joint replacements (hip, knee, shoulder)

Fracture care & sports medicine

Hand, wrist, ankle, and foot surgeries

Trauma and emergency orthopedic care
Job Responsibilities
First assist in OR (total joints, fracture care, sports injuries, etc.)
Rounding on post-op inpatients
ED and inpatient consults
Trauma call coverage
Clinic visits (new consults, rechecks, procedures)
Qualifications
Active IA license or IMLC LOQ (required at submission)
Clean malpractice history (no exceptions)
Orthopedic surgical experience preferred
ACLS/BLS certification preferred
Working Hours
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Weeknight Call Coverage
Weekends: 24-Hour Call
No Telehealth
EMR: GE Centricity (clinic) & Epic (hospital)
