A New Jersey-based healthcare system is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) for a rewarding opportunity with their Oncology team.

Responsibilities:

The Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) will:

  • Perform daily patient rounds with the Physician
  • Coordinate patient care needs according to plan of care and consults with collaborating physician at least daily or as indicated
  • Order, perform, or interpret the results of diagnostic tests and screening procedures based on assessment results, interventions, medications, patient responses or treatment change
  • Develops appropriate treatment plan by orders and interprets diagnostic tests, prescribes pharmacologic agents, and administers medications
  • Document data related to patients’ care including assessment findings, results, interventions and treatment
  • Diagnose conditions that could result in rapid physiological deterioration or life-threatening instability
  • Perform any related duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in an Oncology role/setting
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Completion of a Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) program
  • Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
