Facility:
This is a free-standing cancer center that provides comprehensive oncology care to the community. The facility features state-of-the-art treatment technologies and a collaborative team of specialists dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
Opportunity:
Physician Assistant (PA) - Oncology
Job Details:
• Locum tenens coverage needed from February 1, 2026 - September 30, 2026 due to loss of provider
• Practice composition: 65% benign hematology, 35% malignant oncology
• Manage approximately 15 outpatient patients per day
• Handle approximately 20 inpatient patients during call/rounding
• Join a team of 8 physicians and 4 APPs in a collaborative environment
• On-call responsibilities include first call for patient and hospital phone calls Tuesday 4:30pm-8:00am, Friday 4:30pm-Monday 8:00am
• On-site inpatient rounding required Saturday and Sunday
• Call rotation approximately once every 5-6 weeks, dependent on staffing
• Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients
• Required duties include management of bone marrow transplants, blood bank, ordering tests and images, and prescribing medications
• Documentation system: EPIC
• Must be board certified in Hematology & Oncology
• Active SC license required (will accept providers needing to obtain a state license)
• BLS and DEA certification required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 days
•Facility provides reimbursement for flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage at IRS standard rate
Compensation:
$110-115/hr-Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
