A leading healthcare facility in New Jersey is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support their Outpatient Surgical Oncology team for a 4-month assignment. This role will provide clinical coverage while the facility recruits permanent staff.

About the Opportunity:

  • Location: Central New Jersey
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, days only
  • On-Call: None
  • Setting: Outpatient Surgical Oncology (office-based)
  • Duration: 4 months, potential to extend
  • Team: 2 physicians and 1-2 APPs on site with support staff
  • Licensure: Active NJ license required (CDS/DEA may be pending)

Responsibilities:
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Providing outpatient support to the surgical oncology team
  • Managing pre- and post-operative patient care
  • Conducting evaluations and follow-ups
  • Collaborating with physicians and clinical staff
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in EMR

Qualifications:

  • Active New Jersey license required
  • CDS/DEA preferred (may be pending at start)
  • Minimum 2 years of surgical or oncology experience preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
