Our client, a leading healthcare organization committed to employee health and safety, is hiring an Assistant Director of Occupational Health Services. This pivotal leadership role combines clinical expertise with strategic operational management to ensure the delivery of exceptional occupational health programs that promote a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment across diverse institutional settings.


Job Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care, including occupational health evaluations, treatments, and follow-up assessments for a broad spectrum of employee and learner health needs.
Conduct pre-placement, return-to-work, fitness-for-duty, and periodic health evaluations, ensuring compliance with organizational and public health standards.
Manage occupational exposure assessments, immunization services, vaccine counseling, and support medical surveillance programs such as TB screening and respirator clearance.
Collaborate with Infection Prevention, Risk Management, and HR teams on health initiatives, case management, and compliance efforts.
Oversee operational aspects of Occupational Health Services, including supervising clinical and administrative staff, managing workflows, and fostering professional development.
Coordinate scheduling, resource management, and program growth initiatives to enhance service delivery.
Assist in budget management, ensuring cost-effective resource utilization and adherence to fiscal policies.
Develop, review, and enforce occupational health policies and protocols to maintain regulatory compliance.
Prepare reports and monitor key performance indicators to inform leadership decision-making and promote continuous quality improvement.
Ensure departmental readiness for audits and accreditation surveys, serving as a liaison with oversight bodies.

Qualifications

Requirements:

Active licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of practice.
At least 2 years of clinical experience, with a minimum of 1 year in occupational health or related field.
Proven leadership experience in healthcare operations or program management.
Extensive knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in occupational health.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in budget management, data analysis, and strategic planning.

On-site, 37.5 hour work week, flexible
