Job Title: Occupational Medicine Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide occupational and employee health services. This role focuses on the evaluation, treatment, and prevention of work-related injuries and illnesses, as well as the delivery of regulatory and preventive health services to support workplace safety and employee well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage work-related injuries and occupational illnesses.

  • Provide treatment plans, follow-up care, and return-to-work evaluations.

  • Conduct pre-employment, post-offer, and fitness-for-duty physical examinations.

  • Perform regulatory exams and services, including DOT physicals, respirator clearance, and OSHA-related evaluations, as applicable.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory studies and imaging.

  • Educate patients and employers on injury prevention, workplace safety, and health promotion.

  • Coordinate care with employers, case managers, workers’ compensation representatives, and specialists.

  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with regulatory, workers’ compensation, and institutional requirements.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain clinical competency.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.

  • Current national certification as a PA or NP.

  • Active state licensure and prescriptive authority.

  • Experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or primary care preferred.

  • Knowledge of workers’ compensation processes and occupational health regulations is preferred.

  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Outpatient occupational health clinic setting.

  • Typically weekday schedule; minimal call or weekend coverage depending on clinic operations.

  • Fast-paced, customer-service–oriented environment.
