Position: OB/GYN Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
Assignment: Locum Tenens
Location: Massachusetts
Duration: Approximately 3 months
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Schedule: Full-Time | 3 Shifts per Week | Nights & Weekends

We are seeking an experienced OB/GYN PA or NP for an inpatient and surgical locum tenens opportunity. This position provides coverage across OB/L&D, postpartum, inpatient GYN, emergency GYN consultations, and surgical services.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide OB/GYN coverage across inpatient and emergency services.
• Assist with management of OB/L&D and postpartum patients.
• Manage inpatient and Emergency Department GYN consultations.
• Perform post-operative GYN rounding and patient management.
• Provide surgical first-assist support for:
  • Cesarean sections
  • Emergency GYN surgical cases
• Assist with OB/L&D and maternity floor coverage.
• Participate in triage management.
• Interpret fetal heart rate monitoring.
• Collaborate with PA, CNM, and OB physician teams.
• Work alongside 24/7 OB/GYN physician and advanced practice provider support.
• Document patient care using Epic EMR.

Qualifications

For Physician Assistants:

• Active Massachusetts PA license required at submission.
• NCCPA certification required.
• Surgical First Assist experience required.
• C-section First Assist experience required.
• Emergency GYN surgery First Assist experience required.
• Fetal heart rate interpretation experience required.

For Nurse Practitioners:

• Active Massachusetts NP license required.
• Must be certified to First Assist in the OR.
• Surgical OB/GYN experience required.

For Midwives:

• Midwives may be considered if they are NP-certified and First Assist certified.
• Prior locum/travel experience preferred.
• Epic experience preferred.

Working Hours

• Full-time coverage
• 3 shifts per week
• 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Nights and weekends
• Call coverage required
• Assignment includes inpatient service coverage
