Seeking an experienced OB/GYN Surgical Physician Assistant to join its collaborative inpatient women’s health team at Cambridge Hospital. This high-acuity role offers hands-on surgical experience, comprehensive OB/GYN coverage, and the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced academic environment.

📍 Position Details

• Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts
• Assignment Length: 3 Months
• Start Date: ASAP upon credentialing
• Schedule: Full-Time | 3 shifts per week
• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Nights & Weekends Required
• On-Call: Yes (3 shifts weekly)
• Max Bill Rate: $195/hour

🏥 Practice Environment

• Approximately 1,200 deliveries annually
• Inpatient OB/GYN service
• 24/7 PA, CNM, and OB MD coverage
• EMR System: Epic
• Collaborative academic hospital setting

👩‍⚕️ Position Overview

This OB/GYN Surgical PA role supports both Obstetrics and Gynecology services across the hospital. The provider will assist with inpatient and emergency GYN consults, post-operative management, labor & delivery support, postpartum care, and emergent surgical procedures.

This is a highly procedural position requiring strong surgical first assist experience.

MUST HAVES:

• Surgical First Assist experience
• C-Section First Assist experience
• Emergent GYN Surgery First Assist
• Fetal Heart Rate Interpretation

🩺 Responsibilities

• First assist in C-sections and emergency GYN surgeries
• Support OB Labor & Delivery and postpartum units
• Assist with inpatient and ER GYN consults
• Manage post-op GYN rounding and patient care
• Participate in OB triage and maternity floor management
• Collaborate closely with physicians, CNMs, and nursing staff

✅ Requirements

• Active Massachusetts Physician Assistant License REQUIRED at submission
• PA-C Certification REQUIRED
• OB/GYN surgical experience strongly preferred
• Epic experience preferred

⏳ Credentialing & Onboarding

• Credentialing timeframe: 30–60 days
• Expedited credentialing available
• Epic training required prior to start
