OB/GYN Physician Assistant
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Job Type: Locum Tenens / Full-Time
Overview:
A clinic and hospital-based opportunity is available for an OB/GYN Physician Assistant to provide primarily outpatient care with some inpatient coverage. This role involves managing obstetric and gynecologic patients in a collaborative practice setting.
Compensation:
$200/hr
Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (primarily clinic)
Shared call schedule:
1:5 day call
1:10 night and weekend call
Practice Details:
Setting: Clinic with some hospital coverage
EMR: Not specified
Onsite lab and ultrasound (performed by technicians)
Multidisciplinary team including OB/GYN physicians, APPs, and support staff
No supervision responsibilities
Patient Volume:
Clinic: ~20 patients per day
Deliveries: ~3 per week
GYN procedures: ~8 per week
Case Mix:
70% low-risk obstetrics
10% high-risk obstetrics
30% C-sections
10% office gynecology
10% surgical gynecology
Responsibilities:
Provide outpatient OB/GYN care
Assist with labor and delivery as needed
Participate in call coverage
Collaborate with physicians and care teams
Required Experience & Procedures:
Low-risk obstetric management
Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
Routine and complicated deliveries (including C-sections)
VBACs
Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
Preferred Experience:
High-risk obstetrics
OB ultrasound performance and interpretation
Minor gynecologic procedures (IUD, colposcopy, LEEP, etc.)
Requirements:
Board Certified Physician Assistant – Required
Active Colorado License – Preferred
BLS, ACLS, and NRP – Required
OB/GYN experience – Required
NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) – Required
Credentialing:
Must be able to obtain privileges prior to start
