A healthcare organization in New York is currently seeking a new Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) and/or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join their growing team at their Bronx site!

About the opportunity:

• Location: The Bronx
• Schedule: Open to full or part time (2 days/week)
• Setting: FQHC

Responsibilities:

The WHNP / CNM will:

• Perform routine well-woman exams and use these exams to screen for conditions such as cervical cancer and breast abnormalities
• Provide family planning services, including prescribing and fitting contraceptive methods, offering counseling on family planning options, and educating women about birth control choices
• Provide prenatal care to pregnant women
• Diagnose and treat various gynecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, urinary tract infections, and sexually transmitted infections
• Manage the physical and emotional changes that come with menopause
• Educate women about breast health and conduct breast exams to detect abnormalities
• Provide counseling and education on various health topics, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, and emotional well-being
• Prescribe medications, including contraceptives, hormone replacement therapy, and medications for gynecological conditions
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of related work experience
• Bachelor's Degree
• Active NJS Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) and/or Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Patient oriented
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
