An outpatient clinic in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their growing Women's Health team in Manhattan and Queens. The candidate would have to work out of both locations. This is a great opportunity to get in with a growing company that offers a state of the art facility and room for growth!

Responsibilities:

The Women's Health NP / FNP will:

  • Perform routine well-woman exams and use these exams to screen for conditions such as cervical cancer and breast abnormalities
  • Provide family planning services, including prescribing and fitting contraceptive methods, offering counseling on family planning options, and educating women about birth control choices
  • Provide prenatal care to pregnant women
  • Diagnose and treat various gynecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, urinary tract infections, and sexually transmitted infections
  • Manage the physical and emotional changes that come with menopause
  • Educate women about breast health and conduct breast exams to detect abnormalities
  • Provide counseling and education on various health topics, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, and emotional well-being
  • Prescribe medications, including contraceptives, hormone replacement therapy, and medications for gynecological conditions
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of related work experience
  • Prior experience in Labor and Delivery as an RN or NP
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Active NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license
  • Solid charting and documentation skills
  • Patient oriented
