A hospital system in Orange County is currently seeking a licensed Neuro Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for a great opportunity with their team.
About the Opportunity:
- Specialty: Neurology NP/PA
- Schedule: 7am-7pm, 7 on 7 off
- Patient Population: Adults
Responsibilities:
The Neuro Hospitalist APP will be responsible for:
- Providing in-hour neuro coverage on a shift-based schedule
- Collaborate closely with hospital nursing staff, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and outpatient OB/GYN providers
- Conduct neurological consultations and emergency interventions as needed
- Supervise and support care of patients admitted for neurological issues
- Round on patients pre and post neurosurgical procedures
- Ensure thorough documentation and clear communication in patient records and provider handoffs
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with hospital protocols and safety standards
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- New York State Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
- Experience in neurology, acute care, or critical care
