Advanced Practice Provider – Nephrology
Wellstar Health System | Georgia
Overview
Wellstar Health System, one of the largest and most respected health systems in Georgia, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Nephrology team. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative environment, serving both inpatient and outpatient populations.
Position Responsibilities
Deliver inpatient and consultative Nephrology care, including management of acute and chronic kidney disease
Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Participate in daily rounds, patient education, and care coordination
Support quality improvement initiatives within the department and across the health system
Qualifications
Current licensure (or eligibility) in the State of Georgia as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Nurse Practitioners must hold an Acute Care certification (ACNP) – required for inpatient practice
Experience or strong interest in Nephrology preferred
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-based environment
Excellent communication and critical-thinking skills
