An established healthcare system in Oswego, New York is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join its newborn care team. The NNP will assume responsibility for the medical care of newborns while working collaboratively with physicians, nursing staff, and other members of the clinical team. This position offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive neonatal care within a supportive community hospital environment.
Position Highlights
* Full-time, permanent Neonatal Nurse Practitioner opportunity
* Provide medical care for newborn patients

Clinical Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive medical care to newborn patients
* Perform newborn assessments and physical examinations
* Evaluate and manage neonatal medical conditions
* Develop and implement appropriate plans of care
* Monitor newborn progress and adjust treatment plans when necessary
* Provide specific patient-care direction to nursing and other clinical staff
* Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient management
* Educate and communicate with parents and families regarding newborn care
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
* Follow established nursing, medical, and Nurse Practitioner standards, procedures, protocols, and practices
Qualifications
* Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with appropriate neonatal training
* Board Certified or Board Eligible as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
* Current or eligible New York State Nurse Practitioner license
* Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
* Strong neonatal assessment and clinical decision-making skills
* Excellent communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
* Ability to provide clinical guidance to nursing and support staff
* Commitment to high-quality, family-centered newborn care
