A New York City health care system is looking to boost their Neonatal team at one of their Manhattan facilities with the addition of a new, licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP).

About the Opportunity:

  • Assignment Length: 6+ months
  • Schedule: 3x13 hr shifts with a 30 min lunch break deduction per shift
  • Setting: NICU level 4, non cardiac unit
  • Patient Volume: 10 per day
  • EMR: Epic


Responsibilities:

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Neonatal will perform comprehensive assessments of newborn infants, including:

  • Physical examinations and vital sign monitoring
  • Evaluation of medical history
  • Diagnosing conditions, identifying health issues, and developing care plans based on their findings
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and prescribing medications
  • Educating parents and families about their infant's condition, treatment plan, and care need
  • Performing other duties, as needed


Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
  • Board Certified
  • National Neonatal Certification (NCC)
  • NRP & BCLS certifications
