Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner Opportunity - Lewiston, ME
Full-Time | Permanent | Outpatient Adult Primary Care
Salary: $131,000 - $146,000 / year | Day Shifts
Position Details
* Outpatient Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner opening serving adult populations across the Central Maine region in Lewiston, Maine
* Full-time, day-shift schedule offering predictable hours and a healthy work-life balance
* Practice within an integrated regional health network offering extensive specialty support, diagnostic resources, and referral channels
* Collaborative, team-based environment emphasizing comprehensive preventive care, chronic disease management, and patient education
* Competitive financial package featuring a starting salary range of $131,000 - $146,000 (commensurate with background and experience)

Position Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive medical histories, physical examinations, and clinical assessments for adult patients
* Diagnose and manage acute and complex chronic adult illnesses, including diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, cardiovascular disease, and COPD
* Order, review, and interpret diagnostic laboratory tests, imaging studies, and clinical screenings
* Formulate evidence-based treatment plans, prescribe pharmacological therapies, and monitor patient progress and adverse reactions
* Deliver preventive medicine services, including wellness exams, adult immunizations, and lifestyle counseling
* Coordinate multidisciplinary care and referrals with medical subspecialists, hospital teams, and allied health professionals
* Maintain thorough, timely clinical documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system and engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Candidate Qualifications
* Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
* Current national certification (ANCC or AANP) as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
* Active, unrestricted Maine APRN and RN licenses (or eligible to obtain)
* Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
* Valid Federal DEA registration with full prescriptive authority
* Demonstrated clinical diagnostic, assessment, and critical thinking skills; prior experience in adult medicine or primary care preferred
Compensation & Benefits
* Base Salary Range: $131,000 - $146,000 annually
