Advanced Practitioner Clinical Informatics Specialist opening in Hartford, CT Full-Time | APP Informatics Program | 75% Clinical / 25% Informatics | Two-Year Training Pathway A large Connecticut healthcare system is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a two-year Clinical Informatics training and onboarding program designed specifically for Advanced Practice Providers. Opportunity Highlights:
- Clinical Informatics opportunity designed for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners
- Two-year cohort-based training program focused on healthcare innovation, clinical systems, data, and technology integration
- Spend 25% of time in clinical informatics training during the program
- Spend 75% of time practicing clinically within the provider’s specialty and expertise
- Post-training, the 25% informatics time transitions into administrative and informatics responsibilities
- Training includes data analysis, system implementation, user training, policy development, and real-world informatics projects
- Opportunity to earn a Clinical Informatics certificate through remote learning

- Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant training required
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Master’s or doctoral degree preferred
- Active Connecticut NP or PA license
- Current certification required
- Federal DEA license required
- 3+ years of experience as a PA or Nurse Practitioner/APRN required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
- Experience working with medical, nursing, and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and quality improvement projects
- Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools, such as Tableau, preferred
- Strong interest in clinical informatics, healthcare technology, workflow improvement, and patient-care innovation
- Must also meet qualifications for an available clinical APP position within the system
