Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our inpatient team in Jacksonville, Florida.
This full-time position combines admissions support at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville with transfer-center responsibilities through the Patient Care Logistics Center. Working a 9 a.m.–9 p.m. swing shift, you will help facilitate timely discharges, support overflow admissions, coordinate patient transfers, and optimize bed placement across the health system.
This is an on-site, hybrid clinical and operational role—not a remote position.

Key Responsibilities
Inpatient Admissions and Discharge Support
- Facilitate discharges before noon
- Prepare and queue appropriate discharges for the following day
- Support overflow admissions
- Respond to urgent patient-care and operational needs
- Collaborate with inpatient teams to promote safe, efficient transitions of care
Patient Care Logistics Center
- Support real-time decisions regarding patient transfers
- Help optimize bed assignments and hospital capacity
- Coordinate care with inpatient, transfer-center, and logistics teams
- Promote efficient patient movement throughout the health system
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- At least one year of experience in Hospital Medicine, Critical Care, or an ICU setting
- Current Florida Physician Assistant license
- National certification through AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications, or ability to obtain
- Valid Florida driver’s license
