• We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant for a locums Hospitalist role at an acute care hospital in Potsdam, NY.
• This position focuses on providing comprehensive inpatient care to adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions.
• The role offers night shift coverage with no call requirements, ideal for providers seeking flexible locums scheduling.

Job Responsibilities
• Perform patient evaluations, admissions, and ongoing management.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging studies.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Communicate with primary care providers regarding patient status and discharge planning.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR system.
Qualifications
• Active New York State License (in hand).
• Minimum 2 years of recent hospitalist or inpatient experience required.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong clinical and acute care skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Working Hours
• Night shifts: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• No call required
• 12-hour shifts
