We are seeking a day hospitalist physician assistant.

Local Team Collaboration:

• Join our close-knit hospitalist team of 14 physicians and 3 APPs with the support of a practice coordinator and clinician performance nurse at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital.
• During the day, we have six physicians and one admitting APP. During the evening, we have one nocturnist physician providing cross-coverage and admissions, and one nocturnist APP Monday – Thursday, 5 pm – 3 am.
• We work alongside our hospitalist team and full subspecialty support.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified PA-C.
• Hospitalist experience is preferred.
• Michigan license.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.

Scheduling:

• The hospitalist physician assistant will work 12-hour shifts on a flexible split schedule with your opposite. There is also flexible scheduling around holidays with your opposite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform admissions.
• Work independently.
• We meet once a month for team meetings. These are intended to update the team on hospital or group initiatives, discuss barriers, and highlight providers making a difference.
• There is a closed ICU. No procedures are required in this role.
