Join a team committed to uncompromising care and collaboration. As a Nocturnist Physician Assistant, you’ll work alongside trusted colleagues to deliver exceptional care and help shape outcomes that matter for patients and the community.
We are hiring for a nocturnist APP position. A nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.
Local Team Collaboration:
- Join our close-knit, established team of 20 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers (APPs), supported by 2 clinical performance nurses at St. Joseph Hospital.
- Work alongside a culturally diverse team with a balanced mix of experienced providers and new graduates.
- Collaborate closely with hospital administration, participating in committees and projects to improve hospital operations and patient care.
- Enjoy a supportive work environment with regular touch bases and social gatherings outside the hospital to foster team cohesion.
Qualifications:
- Physician assistant board certification is required.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
Scheduling:
- Enjoy a flexible schedule that balances work and personal life. Most prioritize family or outdoor time and support each other by covering shifts when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex cases in a semi-open ICU with 24-hour intensivist coverage.
- Perform procedures as per your privileges (procedures are not required).
- Participate in team huddles at least 3 times a week and a monthly all-staff meeting to stay connected with practice updates, hospital-related topics, and developments within Sound Physicians.
- Attend monthly educational CME meetings and hospital-wide hospital medicine committee meetings.
- Collaborate with Hospitalist APPs, who independently manage pre-op patients in a clinical setting, with support from supervising physicians and staff.

Compensation:
- Competitive compensation package with additional bonuses.
- $30,000 commencement bonus.
