Hematology/Oncology group is seeking an additional Physician Assistant . Located within 45 min. of Chicago metro area Oncology experience preferred but not required. The practice has 5 Hematologists/Oncologists, an Oncology Physician Assistant, and Physician Assistant. There are also 12 Oncology RNs, 8 Certified medical assistants and other support staff. They have two new medical offices nearby the hospitals. Each physician covers 2- 3 hospitals, all within 20 minutes driving distance. The hospitals are well staffed with all diagnostic and therapeutic facilities, including CT, MRI, PET scan, Radiation units with Linear accelerator, Simulator, IMRT, Brachy therapy, Stereo tactic radio surgery, Gamma Knife, Cyber Knife. If facilities for transplants are needed, Chicago area Centers are within 45 minutes driving distance. Clinical Trials: The group is a part of CALGB, in affiliation with Univ. of Chicago Hospitals. They also participate in Pharmaceutical company sponsored studies.
