Opportunity Overview
- Inpatient Hematology/Oncology APP opportunity
- Open to locums-to-permanent options
- NP or PA accepted
- Full-time coverage needed
- 3-month initial assignment with option to extend
- Hospital setting with 686 beds
- All-age patient population
- Approximately 11-16 patients per day
- Support staff available
Schedule & Coverage
- Monday-Friday
- 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
- Day shift
- Full-time coverage required
- Daytime APP support available for inpatient Hematology and Oncology
- No APP support for call or weekend coverage
Clinical Details
- Inpatient Hematology/Oncology
- Strong experience with both benign and malignant Hematology required
- Comfort working independently is required
- Bone marrow practice is currently being developed; specialized bone marrow experience is not required
- EPIC EMR
- Support available from other inpatient APPs
- Two APPs are needed, including one with a strong Oncology focus and one with a strong Hematology focus
Requirements
- NP or PA
- Board certified
- Minnesota medical license required for ASAP start
- IMLC candidates may be considered for licensing
- BLS and ACLS required
- DEA not required
- Recent Hematology/Oncology experience required
- Must be comfortable working independently
- Clean background may qualify for temporary privileges
- Credentialing timeframe: approximately 60-90 days
