Locums Hematology/Oncology Physician Assistant – Providence, RI
Position Overview
- Specialty: Hematology/Oncology Physician Assistant
- Location: Providence, Rhode Island
- Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital
- Start Date: November 2026
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Work Setting: Mix of outpatient and inpatient care
- Certification: Board-Certified Physician Assistant required
- Rhode Island PA License: Required
- Client will wait for RI PA license
- Estimated processing time: 4–8 weeks
- DEA: Required; client will wait
- CSR: Required; client will wait
- 2+ years of recent Hematology/Oncology experience preferred
- New graduates considered if they completed a Hematology/Oncology rotation
- Patient Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
- Outpatient Volume: 18–22 patients/day
- Inpatient Volume: Varies based on consult volume
- Inpatient Rounding: Daily, approximately 1–2 hours depending on consult volume
- Hem/Onc Coverage: Hem/Onc on site in clinic
- Procedures: Biopsies as needed
- EMR: 80% paper / 20% Meditech
