Hematology/Oncology Physician Assistant – New York

We are seeking a Physician Assistant for a Hematology/Oncology locum opportunity in New York. This outpatient-focused assignment offers a Monday–Friday schedule, Epic EMR and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced oncology team in a growing cancer program.

Assignment Details

• 6-month assignment
• Full-time preferred (Monday–Friday)
• No routine call

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• One-hour lunch

Practice Setting

• Outpatient Hematology/Oncology Clinic
• Epic EMR with AI-assisted charting
• 15-chair infusion center

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage hematology and oncology patients
• Administer and monitor:
  • Chemotherapy
  • Immunotherapy
  • Targeted therapy
  • Hormone therapy
• Provide outpatient follow-up care
• Occasional inpatient consults as needed
• Collaborate with the oncology care team using Epic

Patient Volume

• Approximately 18–20 patients per day
• Occasional inpatient consults during normal clinic hours

Team Structure

• 1 Hematologist/Oncologist
• 1 Nurse Practitioner
• 3 Clinical Assistants (CNA/CMA)
• Collaborative outpatient oncology team

Requirements

• Physician Assistant
• Active New York license required
• Epic experience required
• Flexible and adaptable to a growing oncology program

Additional Information

• Overtime paid after 40 hours per week
• Professional attire with closed-toe shoes required
