We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant for an exciting inpatient Hematology/Oncology locum tenens opportunity in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This full-time, Monday–Friday assignment offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team caring for patients with both benign and malignant hematologic conditions while supporting a growing bone marrow transplant program. This is an initial 3-month assignment with the potential to extend or transition into a permanent position.

Job Responsibilities
Manage 11–16 patients per day with both benign and malignant hematologic conditions.
Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor patient progress.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and the multidisciplinary care team to coordinate treatment.
Support the development and growth of the hospital's bone marrow transplant program.
Assist with hematology procedures and provide clinical support for bone marrow cases.
Accurately document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and clinical notes using EPIC EMR.
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care while maintaining continuity throughout each patient's hospital stay.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of inpatient Hematology/Oncology experience required.
Active Minnesota PA license or willingness and eligibility to obtain Minnesota licensure.
Experience managing patients with both benign and malignant hematologic conditions.
Proficiency with EPIC EMR preferred.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced inpatient hospital environment.
Working Hours
Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Assignment Length: Initial 3-month locum assignment with the potential to extend or transition to a permanent position
Call: No call requirements listed
Weekends: No weekend coverage required
Setting: Full-time inpatient hospital position
Skills
Experience managing patients with benign and malignant hematologic disorders.
Ability to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for complex medical conditions.
Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary hospital setting.
Strong clinical documentation and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize and manage a daily inpatient census of 11–16 patients.
Comfortable supporting hematology procedures and bone marrow transplant services.
Critical thinking and sound clinical decision-making abilities.
