We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant (PA) specializing in Hematology/Oncology for a locum tenens assignment in Potsdam, NY. This is a high-impact outpatient role within a growing oncology program that values flexibility, adaptability, and strong clinical collaboration.
📅 Assignment Details
- Start Date: 08/03/2026
- Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Lunch: 1-hour blocked
- Overtime: As needed (after 40 hours/week)
Job Responsibilities
Setting: Primarily Outpatient Oncology Clinic
Occasional inpatient consults (not frequent)
Clinic Size: 15 chairs
Patient Volume: 18–20 patients/day
Program Status: Growing service line – requires a flexible and adaptable provider
🧬 Clinical Responsibilities:
Chemotherapy administration management
Immunotherapy oversight
Targeted therapy coordination
Hormone therapy management
Outpatient oncology patient follow-ups
Occasional inpatient consults (low volume)
Qualifications
1 Physician (MD)
1 Nurse Practitioner (NP)
3 LPN/CMA support staff
Collaborative, team-based oncology care model
💻 Technology & Documentation
EMR: Epic (Required experience preferred)
AI-powered charting assistance available (provider must actively utilize system)
Must have strong documentation efficiency and workflow adaptability
📌 Requirements
NY State License in hand (required)
Board Eligible or Board Certified – acceptable
Epic EMR experience required
Strong oncology background preferred
Must maintain up-to-date work history
No unexplained employment gaps > 30 days
