Free-Standing Cancer Center | South Carolina
A free-standing cancer center in South Carolina is seeking a Locum Nurse Practitioner to provide Hematology/Oncology coverage due to provider loss.
Assignment Details

Dates: February 1, 2026 – September 30, 2026

Setting: Outpatient Oncology with inpatient call/rounding

Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric
-
EMR: EPIC
-
Credentialing: Approximately 60 days
Schedule & Call
-
First call for patient and hospital calls:
-
Tuesday 4:30 PM – Wednesday 8:00 AM
-
Friday 4:30 PM – Monday 8:00 AM

On-site inpatient rounding on weekends
-
Call rotation every 5–6 weeks (based on staffing)
Clinical Breakdown
-
65% benign hematology
-
35% malignant oncology
-
Average outpatient volume: ~15 patients/day
-
Average inpatient/call volume: ~20 patients/day
-
Practice includes 8 physicians and 4 APPs
Responsibilities
-
Management of bone marrow transplant patients
-
Blood bank coordination
-
Ordering labs and imaging
-
Prescribing and treatment management
-
Chemotherapy administered by oncology nursing staff
Travel & Expenses
-
Facility reimburses flight, lodging, rental car, and mileage
Requirements
-
Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
-
Active South Carolina license (or willingness to obtain)

BLS and DEA required
