A growing Digestive Health program in coastal South Carolina is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its established Gastroenterology team. This opportunity offers a primarily outpatient practice with strong physician collaboration, advanced GI technology, and a high-volume referral base. The incoming APP will play an important role in expanding patient access while managing a diverse range of gastrointestinal conditions.
Position Highlights
Full-time, permanent NP/PA opportunity
Primarily outpatient Gastroenterology
Approximately 20+ patients per day
Work closely with experienced Gastroenterologists
Single-hospital coverage model
Digestive Health clinic conveniently located on the hospital campus

Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage patients with a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions
Perform new-patient and follow-up evaluations
Develop treatment plans in collaboration with Gastroenterologists
Manage patients with liver, gallbladder, and pancreatic disorders
Coordinate diagnostic testing and specialty procedures
Provide ongoing management and patient education
Coordinate care before and after endoscopic procedures
Collaborate with inpatient and outpatient clinical teams
Facilitate appropriate specialty referrals and follow-up care

Qualifications
Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Current or eligible South Carolina licensure
Appropriate national board certification
Interest or experience in Gastroenterology / Digestive Health
Comfortable managing a high-volume outpatient patient panel
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
