Opportunity Overview
- Full-time Gastroenterology APP position
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
- Adult patients with a wide range of acute medical conditions
- Work within a Gastroenterology/Internal Medicine practice
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals
- EPIC EMR
Schedule & Coverage
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
- 30-minute required lunch
- No float requirements
- Patient ratio: approximately 1:14-18
- No call requirement listed
Clinical Details
- Evaluate and manage gastroenterology and internal medicine patients
- Perform medical evaluations, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up
- Educate patients and families on preventive care and treatment plans
- Prescribe and monitor appropriate medications
- Order and monitor diagnostic and emergency interventions
- Refer complex cases to collaborating physicians and other specialties
- Maintain accurate documentation for coding, billing, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with a physician, NP, LPN, and anesthesia staff
Requirements
- Board certified
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience
- Active New York license in hand
- AHA BLS or RQI certification
- EPIC experience required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Current, up-to-date CV with complete work history
- No unexplained gaps of 30+ days
