Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant opening in CT Located in Old Saybrook, CT Full-Time, Permanent Practice Overview:

• Full-time Gastroenterology APP opportunity in Old Saybrook, Connecticut
• Open to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
• Monday-Friday schedule
• 40 hours per week
• Outpatient GI setting with direct patient care responsibilities
• Role includes office consultations, assessments, workups, triage, emergency work-ins, and follow-up care
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
• Support clinical management of GI patients across diverse clinical needs
• Attend weekly meetings with physicians to discuss complex patients
• Participate in workflow coordination, staff meetings, and process improvement related to motility orders and referrals
• Negotiable bonus opportunity Clinical Scope:
• Obtain and document health histories
• Perform and document physical exams
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Counsel patients regarding diagnosis and expected course of treatment
• Obtain consents for SmartPill and manometry procedures
• Manage triaged inbox messages, including medication refills
• Read and interpret breath tests
• Provide education and support for motility tracking workflows
• Assist with follow-up coordination and clinical workflow needs Compensation & Recruitment Package:

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Connecticut license or eligibility
• National certification required for APRN candidates
• Current CPR certification
• Current DEA number required for APRN candidates
• 2+ years of experience in general surgery, colorectal surgery, ambulatory surgery, acute care, or surgical care setting preferred
• GI, motility, surgical, or procedural clinic experience preferred
• Excellent clinical management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take lead when appropriate Benefits:
