Opportunity:

Physician Assistant - Atl-Atlanta Liver and Pancreas

Job Details:

• Locum/traveler position available for immediate assistance covering both volume increase and a leave vacancy with an unknown end date
  
• Weekend coverage only - 4 weekend days per month (Saturday and Sunday)
  
• Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM per weekend day (8 hours per day)
  
• 16 hours per pay period or 32 hours per month
  
• Responsible for rounding on all inpatients within the Liver and Pancreas specialty
  
• Take weekend call from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  
• Communicate any urgent or questionable patient concerns to the physician on call
  
• Create inpatient notes and complete current/outstanding discharge summaries
  
• Conduct new patient consults and prepare weekend sign-out for all patients rounded on during the week
  
• Additional responsibilities may be directed by the physician on call as needed
  
• Combination of both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
  
• Hospital patients seen depending on current census; office patients average 15 to 25 per clinic
  
• No surgical assistance required
  
• Oncology or surgical oncology experience preferred; GI, HPB background also desirable
