Job description
Exciting Gastroenterology Advanced Practice Provider opportunity in Meridian, Idaho! Join a collaborative clinical team providing comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions across outpatient clinics and inpatient settings. This role is ideal for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant looking to expand their GI expertise while working alongside physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.

Job Responsibilities
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions.
• Order and interpret laboratory testing, imaging, and advanced diagnostic studies.
• Develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and monitor patient outcomes.
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, medications, prevention, and healthy lifestyle practices.
• Manage patients across outpatient clinics and inpatient settings.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Qualifications
• Valid, unencumbered Idaho NP or PA license.
• Master’s degree required; PhD is a plus.
• Previous clinical experience as an NP or PA in a clinic, hospital, emergency department, or similar setting.
• Gastroenterology experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of acute and chronic care practices.
• Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and interpersonal skills.
• EPIC EHR experience is a plus.
• Strong commitment to teamwork, patient education, and continued professional development.
Working Hours
• Clinic schedule: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Hospital rotations vary
• Occasional night call
