Job description
We are seeking an experienced Gastroenterology Physician Assistant for a locum tenens inpatient role supporting a high-volume GI practice in a hospital setting in Florida.
The provider will join an established team of physicians and advanced practice providers managing inpatient gastroenterology care for adult and pediatric patients in a Level II Trauma Center.
This is an ongoing assignment with an immediate need, requiring consistent availability of at least 2 weeks per month.
Job Responsibilities
Perform daily rounding (8 AM – 4 PM shifts)
Support weekend hospital coverage
Manage unassigned inpatient GI consults
Participate in beeper call coverage as needed
Work collaboratively with GI physicians and APP team
Deliver care within a high-volume hospital-based GI service line
Qualifications
Board Certified PA (GI specialization required)
Minimum 2 years GI experience as an APP
ACLS & BLS certifications required
Must be able to commit to at least 2 weeks per month
Fellowship training preferred but not required
Working Hours
20–30 hours per week (part-time to full-time coverage)
8:00 AM – 4:00 PM shifts
Weekend coverage required
Ongoing locum assignment
