A reputable acute care hospital in New York is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (Gastroenterology) for a long-term locum assignment with a stable weekday schedule and no call.
📍 Location: Potsdam, NY
🗓 Start Date: July 6, 2026
⏳ Duration: 6 months (extension possible)
💼 Schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- No call required
- Full-time coverage
🩺 Role & Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and manage GI/Internal Medicine patients
- Provide patient education and treatment plans
- Perform documentation in line with compliance standards
- Collaborate with physicians on complex cases
- Order and monitor treatments and medications
📊 Work Environment:
- Patient volume: 14–18 per day
- Adult patient population
- EMR: Epic
- Support staff includes NP, LPN, and anesthesia team
✅ Requirements:
- Active New York PA License (required)
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience
- AHA BLS certification
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Epic experience preferred
