We are seeking an experienced Gastroenterology Physician Assistant for a full-time locums opportunity in Potsdam, NY. This role involves managing adult patients in a hospital-based GI/Internal Medicine setting, working closely with a collaborative care team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centered care while handling a diverse range of medical conditions.
Job Responsibilities
Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress
Provide patient and family education on preventive care and treatment plans
Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and labs
Prescribe and monitor medications as appropriate
Collaborate with physicians and refer complex cases when necessary
Document all clinical activities in compliance with regulatory and quality standards
Participate in quality assurance and peer review processes
Qualifications
Active New York State license required
AHA BLS certification required
Minimum 3 years of recent clinical experience
Strong knowledge of gastroenterology and internal medicine
Experience with EPIC EMR required
