Medical Group in New Windsor, NY is seeking an experienced Gastroenterology Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join its thriving GI practice in the Hudson Valley. Horizon is a physician-owned, Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) designated multispecialty group with 35+ locations and over 100 providers. This full-time role offers scheduling flexibility, strong physician collaboration, AI scribe support options, and excellent work-life balance in a supportive and collegial environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Develop and manage treatment plans for GI disorders and preventive screenings
• Provide outpatient clinic and hospital consultations
• Coordinate pre- and post-procedure care for endoscopic procedures
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies
• Prescribe medications and provide patient education
• Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists for optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain detailed EMR documentation
Qualifications
• DEA certification – REQUIRED
• Minimum 2–3 years of gastroenterology experience – REQUIRED
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to patient-centered care
• Hospital privileges or willingness to obtain – Preferred
• Experience with IBD, liver disease, or GI motility disorders – Preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish) – Preferred
