Opportunity:
Advanced Practice - Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatry
Job Details:
Provide psychiatric emergent assessments in the Emergency Department (ED) and determine patient disposition for admission to inpatient psychiatric units or potential discharge from the EDRespond to overnight needs for PRNs or seclusion/restraint orders for inpatient units
Coverage needed Monday nights from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM and Sunday days from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Intermittent coverage also needed for vacation and sick call on any shift
Shifts are available 7 days per week, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Typically work alongside a licensed therapist or case manager who assists with workflow
Expected patient encounters per shift: 8-10
Board certification required; minimum board certification eligible accepted
BLS certification required (must be issued by the American Heart Association)
This is an ongoing locum tenens assignment
