## Family Medicine NP or PA | Ocala, FL North-Central Florida — Horse Capital of the World ## Position Details * Full-time, permanent position * Setting: 100% outpatient — Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model * Minimum 2 years of primary care experience as an NP or PA * Florida APRN or PA license required ## Practice Overview Seeking an experienced Family Medicine NP or PA to provide comprehensive, evidence-based primary care across the lifespan within a PCMH model: * Comprehensive health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions * Perform age-appropriate physical examinations, health assessments, and wellness examinations * Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses within scope of practice * Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions per Florida law and organizational policy * Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory studies, diagnostic testing, and imaging * Provide immunizations, health screenings, and preventive healthcare services * Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and healthy lifestyle choices * Initiate referrals to specialists and community resources as appropriate * Support PCMH initiatives, quality improvement programs, and population health analytics * Collaborate with physicians, nurses, MAs, care coordinators, and ancillary providers * Participate in care management for patients with chronic or complex conditions ## Compensation & Benefits * Competitive compensation package * Full benefits — details provided upon inquiry ## Required Qualifications * NP or PA — Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited program — required * Active Florida APRN or PA license in good standing — required * National certification appropriate to specialty — required * Current DEA registration and Florida controlled substance prescribing authority — required * BLS certification — required; ACLS preferred * Minimum 2 years of primary care experience — preferred * Proficiency with EHR systems — required ## About the Community – Ocala, Florida * Charming north-central Florida city known as the "Horse Capital of the World" * Affordable cost of living with excellent schools and family-friendly communities * Abundant outdoor recreation including Silver Springs State Park, Ocala National Forest, and world-class equestrian activities * 40 miles from Gainesville and the University of Florida * 80 miles from Orlando — easy access to theme parks, international airport, and metropolitan amenities * Warm, sunny Florida climate with year-round outdoor activities * No state income tax in Florida
