Position Overview
A well-established medical practice in Ocala, Florida is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join its primary care team.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations.
- Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Diagnose and treat common primary care conditions.
- Prescribe medications and treatments within the scope of practice.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies.
- Provide preventive care, health screenings, and patient education.
- Monitor patients with chronic medical conditions and coordinate follow-up care.
- Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the clinical team.
Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- NCCPA certification.
- Active Florida PA license or eligibility for licensure.
- DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.
- Family Medicine, Primary Care, or outpatient experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and staff.
