Physician Assistant (PA) – Primary Care

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Provide preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic healthcare services.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Document patient encounters, treatment plans, medications, referrals, and orders using SOAP documentation standards.
• Review laboratory results, imaging reports, and specialist recommendations.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care for patients.
• Educate patients on preventive health and wellness.
• Follow established clinical protocols and treatment guidelines.
• Participate in care team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and peer review activities.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Support efficient clinic operations and patient-centered care delivery.
• Participate in rotating call coverage and telephone triage responsibilities as required.
• Consult with supervising physicians on complex patient cases.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active and unrestricted California Physician Assistant License.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based healthcare environment.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.
