- CAAs work in a medically directed anesthesia care team model alongside anesthesiologists and CRNAs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of anesthesia care plans
- Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations
- Administer and maintain anesthesia under anesthesiologist direction
- Monitor patients intraoperatively and postoperatively
- Participate in patient safety and quality initiatives
