Job description
Seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to provide primary healthcare services in a rural health setting in Beaver Island, Michigan. The provider will care for patients across primary care, acute and ongoing conditions, as well as urgent and emergency needs, while working within their scope of practice and in collaboration with physicians and local emergency medical services.
Experience in emergency care, rural healthcare, and working with limited supervision is strongly preferred.
Job Responsibilities
Provide primary healthcare services to patients.
Evaluate and manage acute and ongoing medical conditions.
Provide urgent and emergency care as needed.
Work collaboratively with physicians and emergency medical services.
Practice within the appropriate NP or PA scope of practice.
Work independently with limited direction.
Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and colleagues.
Participate as part of a small, team-oriented health center.
Adapt to a variety of responsibilities based on the needs of the health center.
Maintain professional standards in all patient and workplace interactions.
Qualifications
Nurse Practitioner: Advanced NP education, professional NP certification, and Michigan NP licensure.
Physician Assistant: PA education, professional PA certification, and Michigan PA-C licensure.
Emergency services experience preferred.
Rural health experience preferred.
Comfortable working with limited supervision.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
