Job Details

• Position: Physician Assistant – Locum Tenens
• Location: Atlanta, GA 30342
• Specialty: Liver and Pancreas Surgery, Oncology, Surgical Oncology
• Start Date: August 10, 2026
• End Date: November 30, 2026
• Duration: 16 weeks
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,670 - $3,930
• Setting: Combination of inpatient and outpatient care
• Patient Volume: Hospital patients based on census; office visits approximately 15-25 patients per clinic session

Job Requirements

• Active Physician Assistant certification and eligibility to practice in the state of Georgia
• At least 1 year of clinical experience required
• Experience in oncology and/or surgical oncology strongly preferred
• Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills
• Comfortable managing a varied patient census in a busy specialty practice

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality support to a liver and pancreas surgical specialty team
• Evaluate and manage patients in both hospital and clinic environments
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care
• Perform routine clinical assessments and follow-up visits
• Support treatment planning and care coordination for specialty patients
• Deliver efficient, compassionate care while maintaining excellent documentation and communication
