Why This Role
This role is built for clinicians who want to know their patients by name. It is a long-term role for a clinician who wants to put down roots, build real patient relationships, and practice medicine the way they envisioned it in school. It is not the right fit if you are looking for a high-volume shift-based model or a short-term position before relocating.
- Provide comprehensive primary care to adult and family medicine patients
- Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
- Deliver preventive, whole-person, relationship-based care
- Perform basic clinical procedures and diagnostics including X-ray, ultrasound, and EKG
- Document encounters accurately in eClinicalWorks
- Collaborate with physicians, NPs, PAs, and clinical staff
- Contribute to workflow and practice improvement as a valued team member
Why This Practice
Most healthcare employers will offer you a larger salary. What they cannot offer you is time: time with your patients, autonomy over your clinical decisions, and a team that values your voice in how care is delivered.
- Clinical independence and freedom from productivity quotas
- Meaningful appointment time designed for whole-person, relationship-based care
- Direct input into workflows, operations, and how the practice grows
- A stable, supportive team that respects your judgment
- No non-compete restrictions, ever
Founded by Daniel C. Uba, Rapha Health has served the Fayetteville community since 2012. We operate on a biopsychosocial model of care, treating the full person, not just the chief complaint. Our practice of approximately 6,000 active patients reflects the diversity of Fayetteville itself: families, elderly patients, veterans and military households from the Fort Liberty community, individuals managing complex chronic conditions, and patients who have historically lacked access to consistent, high-quality primary care. Serving this population is why we exist.
Our team includes three providers supported by a full clinical staff. Physicians are available for consultation and collaboration daily. The oversight model here is designed to support your practice, not constrain it.
- About 25 patients per day with 15-minute appointments and a fully supported clinical team
- 6,000 active patients, with an emphasis on continuity and long-term relationships
- Modern clinical space with on-site diagnostics and capacity for growth
- A supportive, provider-focused culture where clinicians have direct input into how care is delivered
Why Now
We are looking for a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our onsite team immediately.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary of $100,000 to $118,000, commensurate with experience and clinical background. Placement within the range is based on years of experience, specialty background, and productivity expectations, and we are happy to discuss it openly during the interview process.
- Productivity and quality incentives
- Sign-on bonus: negotiable
- CME stipend: $1,500 annually
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid vacation: 2 weeks
- Retirement plan after one year (Safe Harbor plan)
- Malpractice coverage
- No non-compete restrictions
Fayetteville is designated as a Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA), so clinicians practicing here may have access to loan repayment opportunities through external programs. These opportunities are not guaranteed and remain subject to eligibility requirements, available funding, and program availability.
Qualifications
Required:
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with active North Carolina licensure
- Primary care experience preferred in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
- Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered communication
- Collaborative practice agreement eligibility (NPs) or comfort working in a team-based model (PAs)
- Comfort working in an EMR environment
Preferred:
- Mission-driven and community-minded
- Experience serving elderly, chronically ill, or underserved populations
- Familiarity with military or veteran patient populations
- Adaptable team player who welcomes input into practice operations
Why Fayetteville
Fayetteville is one of North Carolina’s most affordable and livable cities, with a character shaped by its diversity, its military community, and its deep roots.
- Home to Fort Liberty, one of the largest military installations in the country, with a community of veterans, active-duty families, and service members
- Strong public, private, and charter school options throughout the metro
- Safe neighborhoods and abundant outdoor recreation, including parks, trails, and green space
- Cost of living well below state and national averages
- An active faith community, local arts, and a growing dining scene
- Convenient access to Raleigh (about one hour) and the I-95 corridor
